Safety & policies

Safety First

How care works day to day, in plain English. Every family's details go into your written year agreement.

  • Safe sleep

Babies are always put down on their backs, on a firm, flat surface such as a crib or bassinet, with no pillows, bumpers or soft bedding, and never to sleep in a swing or car seat. This follows American Academy of Pediatrics safe-sleep guidance.

  • Feeding & allergies

Ms. Tammy follows your feeding plan, bottle and solids schedule and any allergy plan, and notes what was eaten and when. Baby-led weaning is supported when it's your family's approach.

  • Sick days

Your written agreement covers when a child should stay home (for example fever or a contagious illness) and what happens if Ms. Tammy is unwell. She lets you know as early as possible either way.

  • Emergencies

On day one you share emergency contacts, your pediatrician and any medical or allergy plans. In an emergency Ms. Tammy calls 911 first, then you. She holds CPR & First Aid for infants, children and adults.

  • Daily updates & photos

Text updates through the day on meals, naps, mood and play, with photos if you'd like them. Photos of your child are for your family only and are never posted publicly without your written permission.

  • Communication

You agree together on check-in times and the best way to reach each other. Anything urgent is always a phone call, right away.

  • Positive guidance

Calm, patient redirection that helps little ones name big feelings. Never physical discipline.

  • Outings

Neighborhood walks and park play are part of the day. Car trips happen only with your permission and your properly installed car seat.
